The owners, Craig, Laurie, and Benjamin, were super welcoming and helpful!. The room was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed. Locations is great… walkable to several businesses and the water. Mahone Bay was fun and lively during the day and quiet and peaceful at night. We can’t wait to visit again.

Our stay at Magnolia Inn on the main street of Mahone Bay exceeded expectations. We stayed in the peaceful and comfortable Queen bedroom that had an accompanying small but beautiful ensuite bath. There were 3 cozy, shared rooms on the main floor of the Inn for guests, where ample specialty coffee and tea were available any time of day. The location was ideal for exploring a stunning bay area of Nova Scotia and scenic attractions like Lunenburg, Ovens Natural Park, Rose Bay, Blue Rocks, Hirtle Beach and more. All of these drives from the Inn were under 30 minutes. At the time we visited in early October, there was a scarecrow festival in Mahone Bay. Every property had placed very fun and creative scarecrows on their front lawns - they really enhanced the autumn feeling. The area very much had a New England feel and vibe. Stunning properties and vistas around every corner!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Magnolia Inn! The place was spotless, and the little extras included in our stay were a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Our room was cozy and inviting, and the bathroom felt wonderfully luxurious with its spacious walk-in shower. Craig was very easygoing and a pleasure to chat with, it’s clear that he and his wife have poured their hearts into this new venture. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay again!

We were staying in Mahone Bay for a few days on vacation. The owners Laurie and Craig were very responsive and friendly in the days leading up to our stay. On arrival we found the Inn to be beautiful, relaxing, and very comfortable. Our room was elegant and welcoming. The bed was so comfortable we inquired from Craig about the brand and are actually considering replacing our mattress at home. The bathroom was breathtaking. A renovated doctor's home and practice from the 18th century, they did an amazing job renovating the building but keeping the historical feel. The whole experience was a pleasure from check in to check out. Highly recommend.

Magnolia Inn in Mahone Bay may have opened in 2024, but it’s housed in a beautifully restored historic property dating back to 1879. We were lucky to stay in the master bedroom on the second floor, which featured a spacious, modern bathroom. Each room includes a mini-fridge, smart TV, and Keurig coffee maker for added comfort. The first floor offers inviting shared spaces, including a cozy sitting room, a large dining area, and a quiet library—perfect if you need to get some work done. The entire inn is spotless and thoughtfully organized. Craig, the owner, was incredibly gracious and welcoming, and their summer staff (whose name we sadly forgot) was equally kind and helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Inn! Our room was absolutely beautiful, and the whole place has been so lovingly and magnificently restored — so charming! The location is excellent too, super convenient to restaurants, shops and the waterfront. There were just a couple of little hiccups: the smart TV in our room didn’t work (not a big deal for us, and when we mentioned it at checkout the staff seemed genuinely concerned and eager to fix it). We also had a bit of trouble getting hot water out of the sink faucets, but the shower was fantastic! All in all, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Laurie was very warm and welcoming. She gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant. The suite was beautifully styled, the bed was comfortable and she left some snacks as well as tea and coffee. Everything was great

The Magnolia Inn has been beautifully decorated by Laurie and Craig. Our room and enormous private bath were luxurious. It was so nice to have access to the beautiful common rooms on the first floor. We enjoyed morning cappuccinos in the dining room looking out on the main street and over to the water. Can't wait to go back.
